to copy or move your /var/spool/mail:
1. cd /var/spool/mail
2. tar cvzf mail.tgz *
3. ftp _another_linux_ (preferrably your home acct) and put it using the command:
    put mail.tgz
4. ssh _another_linux_
5. cd /var/spool/mail
6. tar xvzf /_your_home/mail.tgz

to copy or move your /home:
1. follow above procedure and just change /var/spool/mail to /home
and mail.tgz to home.tgz

you can simplify the process if you install samba. anyway, hope it helps...
