I don't think so, the BSD community accept the existence of MacOS X and
it's based on Darwin (the core of MacOS X) which is based on FreeBSD-3.5
Distribution and being maintained by Jordan Hubbard (one of the official
of FreeBSD core team before he move to Apple).
