Well check yur disk if yur still
getting your ultra133's
worth of bandwidth. For your
reference or comparison here are my IDE disk
speeds (ultra133
and ultra100); you should get something similar
(a really slow one would be < 5 mb/sec, something
15 or more probably ok...the more important
spec is the "Timing buffered disk reads"..however
this also depends on yur CPU and other factors):

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# hdparm -tT /dev/hdg

/dev/hdg:
 Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 1.05 seconds =121.90 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 1.86 seconds = 34.41 MB/sec
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]#

[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]# hdparm -tT /dev/hde

/dev/hde:
 Timing buffer-cache reads: 128 MB in 1.06 seconds =120.75 MB/sec
 Timing buffered disk reads: 64 MB in 1.77 seconds = 36.16 MB/sec
[EMAIL PROTECTED] root]#

jondz
