Anyone with this particular internal modem should check out the kludged binaries at 
www.sm56.tk . And if you do have a winmodem, you should check out www.linmodems.org -- 
and/or subscribe to their mailing list. YMMV with 'em though-- I've read about really 
strange problems with the drivers like attempts to redial after a disconnect failing 
with a 'NO DIALTONE' for no apparent reason, or with conflicts with some ethernet 
cards-- again for no apparent reason.
