Sacha Chua was in my SysAdmin class today. She gave a demo
on how to install Debian from the binary CDs. While she
was in class giving the demo, everything looked easy.
After all, her magnetic personality and depth of knowledge
of Debian is fantastic. When she left the room and left
us all to ourselves, we could not figure out how the
keys work in dselect and in aptitude. Why can't these
programs use intuitive keys that are easy to remember?
For a beginner installing Debian for the first time, you will
get lost in the complexity of the menu system of dselect
and aptitude. Can anyone give a short summary of the
menu system?
