That's what the buffer under-run protection of your CD-R/RW drive is
for. :) For cdrecord, just make sure you have driveropts=burnfree (newer
versions) or driveropts=burnproof on the commandline parameter or put it
on cdrecord.conf. Only works if your drive supports it.
I tried burning a CD-R while compiling Mozilla and watching a movie
(DVD). ;) Never had any problems. Hehehe.
