Hmm. It's been a couple of years so I guess I can share this now...


We actually had our eye on that guy before ILOVEYOU broke out. He was trying to reverse-engineer our software and had released some patches in mid-2000. We knew who he was and where he lived, who his friends were, etc. Unfortunately we didn't make the connection to the ILOVEYOU virus until he was identified as the virus author a bit later.

Sorry for going OT. Just to bring it back, I should mention that we had one *really* good hacker from AMA by the name of Roger working at Evoserve R&D. Aside from me, most everyone else was from Mapua with one each from DLSU, Ateneo, UP, and UST.
