People from other asian countries dream of going abroad too...
but after spending a few years in countries like the US, they would return
to their own countries and start their own companies..

take for example, the indians....
they'll work for a few years abroad.. and then later on will return to
India to help improve their own local technology.. (Almost all
indian IT companies are CMM-certified...)

most filipinos will never spare a glance at their homecountry once they
step foot on a G7 nation... we filipinos dream of going abroad and STAYING
there...

we, filipinos lack communal conscience.. we regard the concept of "self"
as something limited to one's family.... we have little or no regard at all
for the improvement of our country...

we are ALL to blame for this mentality...

we pinoys have the bad habit of blaming other people...
our parents.. our teachers.. the goverment.,.. god.. yada yada
we keep on complaining and sputtering excuses...

we pinoys tend to concentrate too much on the problem , its cause and consequences...
but put much less effort on the materialization of the solution...

take for example this current thread... how many email messages were FOCUSED
on solutions?

see? even the content of my email is so negative... we're so good at analyzing but suck
big time in implementing solutions...
good at gathering inputs... but poor in output...

hmmm..
how did we end up discussing crap? the topic was about programming... but
now it's something out of "isyu 101" or "points of view"

see? we're good at making connections... we blame our poor performance in some
contest to our educational system... then we connected the status of our educational system
to... our teachers.. our parents....and the list will go on and on..(we pinoys are good at this )
