Yeah, but when in Rome, do as the Romans. A person would have to be a
major jerk to come to a foreign mailing list and then get mad because
people write in the local language. Anyway, if I don't understand
something, and I really want to know what it says, I just ask my wife.
Can't speak for the other foreigners here...
good point. then it might be considered as a gesture of courtesy towards foreigners. another point is that we post in english because we can (even if we murder the language :D ). that doesnt mean that posting in tagalog is forbidden. if somebody thinks they can better articulate themselves using filipino then they should do so. unfortunately, the filipino language has a very limited vocabulary for technical terms and even if even those might be too cumbersome to use.
consider the last sentence as my personal opinion.
