Would anyone know if this poor excuse for a modem (Efficient Networks,
Speedstream 4060) will work with Linux? I've searched the archives and Google,

driver for Linux. But I've not been able to find a success story just yet.

I don't know about this... just curious, was this equipment issued by the
local DSL provider?

Yep. GlobeQuest DSL used this once in the past but I guess they too found it too much trouble than its worth and now they're using Alcatels, or at least a number of Alcatels are in use. PLDT DSL might be experimenting with these units nowadays, it seems.
