andy,
i understand clearly that ftp & nfs are clearly different but what i
understood of bryan's problem was he wanted to access files on a box
that he FTPs to,as a local mount. i also assume that he didnt want to
start ftp (or scp or sftp over ssh whatever the case may be) each time
he wants to transfer a file. now what he can try to do is export a
certain directory(from the box he usually FTPs to) onto the client pc
he works on,which can be done thru NFS,agree?
