Unless I misunderstand your situation, as long as SpiritOne is your
ISP it
is your gateway to the 'Net.
When their mail and web servers went offline I could still access
the Web,
receive e-mail messages (I run my own mail server), and download files
using
ftp. So the pipe from you to the world goes across the CL copper and
through
SpiritOne's routers.
That's what I thought. We're just concerned about when they turn out the
lights. We're up for renewal first of the year and are thinking we
should switch ISPs.
Does anyone have experience with Century Link as an ISP?
