Does anyone have experience with Century Link as an ISP?

Their customer service is worse than terrible. Congestion at major peering points in Seattle are common during peak times. My only other choice is Comcast. I opted for DSL over cable for a variety of reasons. The primary was that Comcast required a bundle to get IP service. I'm sure things have changed.

You can thank the FCC for the lack of competition. So much for the telecom act of 1996, and now the demise of net neutrality. Maybe 5G will offer a 3rd option. But even so, your choices increase only slightly. It is a terrible time to be an Internet consumer or producer of bandwidth in America.
