The Bridgecom website for this radio has a big warning about their software written specifically for Windows, that it may not work in a virtual environment. While that is pointed at Mac users, I imagine that Linux would be included.
I suppose this is an issue folks should look at when considering radio equipment today, as almost everything needs to be programmed by computer. I use several radio related applications that must run on actual Windows machines and not a virtual environment. For that reason, I still have Windows computers.
