I select a email on her desktop machine and send it to print, it prints just fine. I go to her Chromebook and select the same email it is sent to the printer but it must be telling the printer to print to an A4 page, which is not on the printer so it replies back, "out of paper" If I do the control P and look at the advanced settings on the machine it shows it is set for "Letter". I tested a file she had on google drive, it printed just fine. Then I tested "foo.com" On the desktop it printed out just fine On Chromebook it tries to send it as an A4 page. If I check the settings it shows LETTER. Not sure what to think. The printer is a Dell 3110CN a big battleship color laser printer. I am not sure what to think on this one.
Chuck, Looks like the issue is with the Chrombook printer driver, not the printer. Can you find the driver and examine it, or replace it with a known-to-work system such as CUPS?
