There are "shared" whiteboards, but then everyone needs a high-quality

expensive, min $400; it's basically a cheap tablet PC that you just
use for drawing. Not cost effective as a peripheral.
The Wacom Intuos is $100 on Amazon.
Hmm, that's not what I'm talking about.
I have seen those before, and perhaps they work after a lot of practice,
but I cannot imagine that solves the general problem of writing text and
equations free-hand. The surfaces I'm talking about are touch screens,
like the signature thing at the check-out stand. That is what I see other
people using that seems to work effectively.
What I think will work for my needs is to have images and PDFs of words
each in a separate file. I think that Zoom's desktop share should allow
me to make each visible at the appropriate time; I'll see if I can
figure how to do this on zoom/test.
For recording, I'll see if I can get the same results by specifying each
document as a separate scene in OBS, with the primary scene being the
web cam and my pretty face (yeah, right).
Sounds like you got something figured out that you like.
