I've just got a mac mini to run slimserver on and I have successfully transferred all the music from my linux box and got slimserver running.
Everything looks nice, impressed with how easy the installation is (try installing slimserver on gentoo and you'll understand why) so I wanted to install a few plugins. Problem, I can't find the plugins directory. I used spotlight (which is fantastic when you are an os X newbie and don't know where to find stuff) and found a plugins directory under admin/Library/SlimDevices/Plugins but it is empty (which I found strange as there are usually some default plugins in this directory and they are certainly visible through the web interface). I tried to put a plugin in this directory but it wasn't detected. I had a feeling that spotlight was hiding things from me (after all this is an OS developed for arty types) so I spent 10 minutes trying to find how to open an terminal window (OK, I know where to find the applications now) and then used the trusty "find" command (wow, you get a bash shell by default - this is a cool OS) - still no joy. So swallowing my pride, I decided to post a question here. Anybody know where to install the plugins on os X?
