Thanks for the help, heres my latest findings: Changed the rtsp cache settings to 256 and this didn't help; I tried with both MP3 and WAV convertion and the both stopped after somewhere between 1:23 and 1:31 minutes of playing.
I played about with the router firewall settings - turning it completly off - allowing complete access into and out of my home network - but this didn't change anything. I've given both SB3's static IP addresses - a long shot - but this didn't help. I'm starting to thing either my router or ISP could be to blame... I'll keep you informed if it starts to work again.
