There are undefined ports above 30000 or so that UPnP needs, and probably airplay as well, so I have to open a range above that level.

There is no penalty box Well that's far for the behaviour I see for UPnP or Airplay, which is one reason why I use them with LMS less than other methods. It's quite possible that this is to do with ports, firewalls, and whether the router supports certain types of fishing on the local network (for instance I have UPnP support disabled in the router), or something to do with my players. I really don't know, but it's been a constant minor frustration (I've tried waiting for many minutes with no success, and ended up having to restart the bridge). The behaviour isn't predictable, and sometimes works fine. LMS 7.9.1 on VortexBox Midi box, Xubuntu 17.10, FLACs 16->24 bit, 44.1->192kbps. Touch & EDO. 2nd Touch standard. LMS plugin UPnP/DLNA Bridge to MF M1 CLiC (to A308CR amp & ESLs) & Marantz CR603 UPnP renderers. Alternatively Minimserver & Upplay to same & to upmpdcli/mpd PC renderers. Squeezelite to Meridian USB Explorer DAC to PC speakers/headphones. Wireless Xubuntu 17.10 laptop firefox/upplay or Android 'phone with Squeeze-Commander/BubbleUPnP controls LMS/Minimserver. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ PasTim's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=41642 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=105198 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
