With normal connection a reply will be received within 1 sec - it was necessary to double check setting was not set too low. I feel the problem is with the network/server setup which is why a test of non-LMS application (browser, wget, curl) using network is needed. It is strange since I am assuming LMS can access squeezenetwork OK (i.e. no relevant message in log file) .
