Maybe you experienced it but did not hear it? Did you try pausing an mp3
sampled to 11kHz? Only then there's a 5.5 kHz beep. That you don't hear
the 11kHz beep with the 22kHz files, well, we already established that.

No beep. Just to make sure we're talking about the same setup here:

I used the "squeezelite-1.9.1-1139nodsd-dll.zip" exe and the
"squeezelite-1.9.1-1139-dll" dlls.
