I can't readily access your VPN provider site - my ISP blocks access to it.
Is its job to allow you to access your home network when you are out - or to somewhat hide your details when you visit other sites? If only the 2nd one then it is not what you need for LMS access. If you read through the (long) thread about not allowing access you will see some well hidden information about how to override this check in LMS. It is not shouted about here because of the possible problems when doing it. But - by reading the thread to find it you will have learned more about what it does and why.
