Hi, I have really enjoyed using this nice piece of software. I have
always used the non-store version as I prefer controlling program
versions myself rather than using the Windows app store.

However, I have had problems with recent versions in the 2.5.x.x series.
All versions available online as of today do not work for me.

Either the program hangs at startup with the progress circle remaining
forever, or it starts but returns a yellow exclamation mark next to my
LMS server name. I have tried clearing the cache and settings several
times, but no luck. Also, specifying the LMS IP manually and restarting
has not helped me.

I finally gave up, uninstalled the program and went back to the newest
version I had from a previous download, and that is ver. 2.2.8.0 from 30
May 2019. Guess what? After installing the program works again without
any issues.

Any hints regarding how to get one of the newer versions to work and
taking advantage of the improvements introduced since May last year?
