I am not sure I follow you on the last comment. Even though it failed to
lookup google the first time, reading the log looks like it is going to
try again when it needs to look up www.bbc.co.uk.

Also the test with ping and tracert shows that it would never be able
top look it up no matter how much it tries. Right?

About our netwrok the only thing I know is that we are using a ISA
server, so perhaps that is blocking for DNS looks up not generated by a
browser or a player? (Just a wild guess :-) ).

ANyway. I remoted to another PC outside our network and did a ping
again to BBC and got the ip address. Then went back to my slimserver
and done a tunein replacing the www.bbc.co.uk with the ip address...
and it WORKED!!!!

So I can definetely say that my firewall is somehow the cause of the
dns look up timeout, and it has nothing to do with AlienBBC.

Before I thank you 1GB times for your help I have 2 last questions:

1. Is it possible to see anywhere what is the original streaming
bitrate? Looking under Now playing it reports FLAC, but that must be
after the transcoding. It wuld be inetresting to know the real bitrate.
If not maybe a suggestion for future versions?

2. I have noticed that int he list appears also the danish channels
(Danmarks Radio). However those are streamed in WM format so would not
need ay transcoding. Are those transcoded too or just streamed
trhough?

Thanks a lot for your help. I am going to install it on my home-server
tonight!
