I won't be doing that, because it is important to be able to flush out
problems, which this episode has done.

It would be interesting to know what -faad- makes of the misidentified
stream, when LMS does the transcoding.

But you are right, the Community Firmware's "lack of resilience" to duff
aac data would be eliminated by simply disabling native aac. But that
would not be effective if the user had, perhaps temporarily, switched to
MySqueezebox.com

This is the first time that I have encountered a problem with an aac
stream in the several months I have used the "draft" Community Firmware
release(s). The problem, I would say, lies firmly with LMS, nevertheless
one would wish that the firmware handled the problem rather more
gracefully. :)
