Spotty certainly is outdated, as is LMS (if your footer is up to date). But if it can't reach the internet, then this doesn't really matter :-).
If the system is really old, you might face issues reaching https resources using Let's Encrypt - like eg. mysqueezebox.com. You'll need a recent OpenSSL implementation and IO::Socket::SSL - which probably isn't given on a system stuck at LMS 7.9.1...
