Well, after a pointless drive of 50km to the local Fnac store to get a slimline player (which their website said was in stock, but it wasn't) I bit the bullet and installed on win10.
Yay! It works... The disk tracks are listed as raw format without any track/album data. I sort of expected to see album title and track titles. Maybe the disk is so old the info isn't there, or I need to do some tweaking.
