The dmesg log below shows up a possible issue.
The USB device idVendor=1c6b, idProduct=a223 is a generic
Philips/Lite-ON CDROM drive
The drive allocated to usb 1-1.2 . Scatterlist errors is logged against
the 1.2 device and next message says "high-speed USB device number 4" -
so clearly there is an issue with the CDROM drive.
These errors are not "normal". However I don't know whether they are
minor.
AFAICT scatterlist errors are due to handling memory when doing I/O
transfer.
So there may be an issue with the drive or memory during data transfer.
How much free memory is on your system when LMS is running. Use the free
command from a prompt
