I have it running successfully, first under Vista 32 bit, and now under 64 bit. The tricky part seems to be how Music IP is loaded as an application and how MIP is loaded as a service. The MIP service is loaded as a service under the local network account. In order to have the access to the MIP cache, you need to grant MIP (app) admin rights (right click on the icon, and under compatibility, check run as administrator).
If you run SqueezeCenter 7.0, by default it runs under your user name (either as an app or as a service). I recommend running it as a service (there is a service enabler in the start menu), and change the service to a local network account. This can be done via right clicking on the computer icon in the start menu, select manage, browse to services, and select SqueezeCenter. Double click or select properties and change the account to a Windows System Account.
