Hi Erland, Thanks for your patience :-) Seems to be that I had not set the path to the iTunes XML file.
For future revisions you could as a default assume "default location" here (that is on a mac "~/Music/iTunes/iTunes Music Library.xml") Thanks - I'll let you know if this helps (or post a log showing my ignorance).
