I think I have found the problem. I can reproduced the 404 error and the missing initialisation. Also it can explain the "PLUGIN_ALIENBBC" string message in the error log.
The Alien plugin has been installed in the wrong directory. Assuming a German XP and "Program File" becomes "Programme". The Alien plugin should be in the directory \PROGRAMME\SQUEEZECENTER\SERVER\PLUGINS\ALIEN[\B] IF THE ALIENBBC PLUGIN IS INSTALLED IN AN EXTRA LEVEL IN THE PLUGINS DIRECTORY - SUCH AS [B]\PROGRAMME\SQUEEZECENTER\SERVER\SERVER\PLUGINS\ALIEN or \PROGRAMME\SQUEEZECENTER\SERVER\PLUGINS\PLUGINS\ALIEN In the Setting/Advanced/Plugins - the AlienBBC entry will be displayed as PLUGIN_ALIENBBC. Clicking the Settings button will result in the 404 message as described. If the AlienBBC plugin is installed in the SC supplied plugin directory "Plugin" - such as \PROGRAMME\SQUEEZECENTER\SERVER\SLIM\PLUGIN\ALIEN In the Setting/Advanced/Plugins - the AlienBBC entry will be displayed as Alien BBC. Clicking the Settings button will result in the 404 message as described. What text do you see for AlienBBC in the Setting/Advanced/Plugins page ? Assuming it is in the wrong directory and that Robin_D also had the same problem - then there must be something wrong or misleading in the installer which should be fixed.
