I am running Ubuntu Hardy. SC 7.2 I have tried updating 5 plugins at the same time:-
Multilibrary, Customskip, DynamicPlaylists, CustomBrowse, Trackstat Here is what I do:- Download the files, Unzip on my desktop, In terminal stop squeezecenter, sudo /etc/init.d/squeezecenter stop goto directory /usr/share/squeezecenter/Plugins Remove old versions of the plugins move the new plugins ive extracted from the desktop into the above plugins directory in terminal restart squeezecenter sudo /etc/init.d/squeezecenter start WHY whenever I do this the server will never start up afterwards? I am fed up with this it never goes smoothly. I just get cant connect connection refused in firefox. It usually results in me deleting cache files and then a lengthy rescan library and possibly losing trackstat tag data. I know about restoring trackstat data but I may still lose some because it backs up about 1/2 hour before I usually turn off the server and squeezebox. If I am doing something wrong please accept my appologies, I am open to advice on the correct way to update the plugins. At the moment I want to listen to music but cant until I get a reply as I cant start my server, I dont really want to delete the cache files unless I really have to.
