My kid loves remote controls, but only if they do something. It only takes seconds to recognize when the parents have offered a remote with no batteries, or for gear that no longer exists.
I'd like a plugin that I could use to map buttons on a non-SlimDevices remote control to certain "safe" operations. E.G., pressing "1" might turn on the player, set the volume to 25, and start playing a particular playlist. My kid would gain more control over the Squeezebox without using the real SlimDevices remote, without any danger of arrowing into some menu I'd rather not be touched.
