You don't say how old your kid is, but a couple of things strike me. First, I personally don't allow my kids to touch my stereo equipment until they reach teenage years. Then, the instructions for use are accompanied with "you're old enough to earn money to replace anything here you break. Please use it carefully". That works. Get them their own stuff, cheap stuff at first. Tell them if they break their stuff, it won't be replaced. That works too.
Secondly, figuring that the world has too many unsocial couch potatos, I tried not to add to that population. I never looked at using a remote as a skill I wanted to encourage. Get him/her a ball instead, teach them how to use it. Best would be a ball for a game you need someone else to play with. If you want to expose them to music, do so but you or your fellow parent should turn it on and off. I'd make the technology NOT a part of the experience. That way, you'll know whether they like to listen or not. The good thing about parenting - you can do it how you like, but the problem is that the consequences of screwing it up are pretty serious. Good luck. -- Goodsounds ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Goodsounds's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=14201 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=54565 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/plugins
