1. Is this a new problem that has started to happen or the problem has been there since the first time AlienBBC has been used.
The airport is new and I had some difficulties initially with it blocking relevant ports, but since that was resolved this has been happening. 2. Does the problem happen on "Live" stream, "Listen Again" or both. I'm not sure about this, but my experience is mostly with listen again and I think that the live streams are ok. 3. Does the problem happen on other BBC stations ? This I haven't checked, but your new NPR player seemed to work fine. 4. Does the problem happen if you transcode to MP3 rather than FLAC ? I'm not aware of how to check this. 5. What is the CPU / memory loading of the system when the problem happens ? The mac activity monitor indicates that the cpu load is about 50%, and memory is similarly about half of the available 1.5G available. 6. When the gaps occur - is the music continuous (silent gaps interrupting music) or does the music skip (i.e. silent gaps replacing music) The former -- there seems to be no gaps in the music just brief interuptions Further details on setup: internet is via cable service, connections to imac and to Squeezebox are wireless via the airport.
