For FM only you need a basic card - there is no need to get ones with advanced video (e.g. with hardware MPEG encoding) which reduce CPU when recording TV.
I have tested with a cheap KWorld card and a Hauppauge PVR 350. Both are PCI cards. I have not tested with USB adaptors but I expect them to work. Analog only cards are getting rarer - Hauppauge have the biggest selection so something like the WinTV PCI FM ( http://www.hauppauge.com/site/products/data_radio.html ). You must make sure there is an analogue FM tuner as some cards are made in version without the FM tuner. I suspect that combined analogue and digital cards would also work but some manual plugin settings would be needed. If you have not got hardware already then if you would also like AM as well as FM an alternative to the above is a Griffin RadioShark2 USB AM/FM tuner ( http://www.griffintechnology.com/products/radioshark2 ).
