the ipeng download for the pc is an SC plugin that provides a new "skin" 
for the regular SC web gui, that is better suited when accessing the web 
gui from the iphone/itouch's web browser.

this is as distinct from the ipeng *app* that is a real application 
running on the iphone/itouch.

I believe there is a hope this might be added to the ipeng app, in the 
future, but not at the moment.

the idea is that you use the iphone/itouch running ipeng *as* the 
controller. so you select the player that you want to control, and then 
select the music you want that player to receive.

right; in this context, you are treating the SBC as a mini-player in its 
own right, but not as a controller.

all iphone/itouch apps are updated via the itunes interface, as per 
normal. the upgrade has already been uploaded to Apple, and should be 
available soon, hopefully. it is a free upgrade, as all are.
