On many Linux system - groups are managed through the /etc/group file which has a line per group. The name of the group is at the start and the users in the group are at the end.
You can edit file directly (careful you don't corrupt it) or typically use commands such as useradd, userdel and usermod Before messing with audio group - make sure as root you identify the correct Alsa device and can record from it and confirm by playing back recording. To record a 30 secs wav format into file testrec.wav from Alsa hw:1,0 - use the following arecord -d 30 -D hw:1,0 -t wav -f cd testrec.wav If you have Audacity - set some music playing and then using Audacity click record - when the volume levels in the channels move sync to music - you have found the right device. Use Preferences to change record source to deifferent devices - use the Alsa devices and not OSS or Pulse which may be offered. -- bpa ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bpa's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1806 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49584 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
