Interestingly the settings had all changed by themselves from 'Shutdown to SqueezeNetwork' to 'Shutdown Server', but I suppose that's because there was no longer a match in the current settings to any in the list so the first option (Shutdown Server) became the default. One question regarding the settings - why do I need to have at least 15 seconds wait after SqueezeCenter startup before the players are pulled back from SqueezeNetwork.
