Yes, the server and the 3 SB devices are on DHCP (the former wired to
router, the latter all wireless). I think I'm just expecting it to
happen faster than it does. There is something dicey with this install
(now) of iPeng. See below.

Well if I have time, yes. But it seems to crash quite fast after
choosing the eeebox server. (after it jumps to the settings pane,
typically)

Will give that a try. I have not actually done this on the iPod before.
guess it's as simple as deleting on the touch then resynching with
iTunes. Now THAT's a newbie question!

No what I mean is that it sees every device on the network regardless
of whether it's an SB or a a PC running SC (like other laptops). This
one's not a big deal, and was a bit off topic. Sorry.

In good news, setting the MAC of the eeeBox in iPeng settings 'just
works' without any configurations to the eeebox or the linux install on
it at all. That's brilliant!

New glitches (hopefully also fixed with reinstall - stay tuned)

* crashes when adjusting volume
* choosing radio icon in lower 'tray' causes weird graphic shift
wherein the volume is half way up the album image, and hitting radio
again takes me to the proper screen.

No need to respond to any of this until after I'd tried a reinstall -
which I can't now as am away :)
