I saw something that may work however.  If you try the radioparadise
iphone app (search on radioparadise0, when you toggle the volume rocker,
it only moves the app's volume slide.  It may be because this is
actually controlling the iphone speaker rather than something else in
the app, but worth looking into to avoid moving the ringer volume as
well.

One comment on the playback capability of the stream.mp3.  If you are
able to get this to work, it would be great to include being able to
change the SqueezeCenter settings for the ipeng vertual squeezebox, at
least for the MP3 stream quality (0-9) and size (128k, etc).  That way,
if we are listening to the stream and we are getting too much
skipping/buffering, we can at least change the stream size to something
lower that can work over EDGE, etc.
