To be on the safe side, even though you'll have EOD disabled, set the EOD start time to 2 am and the end time to 2:05 am...i.e. don't test within the eod time.
See if, with that very basic configuration, it behaves like you would wish it to. With your player stopped, you should be able to fire off a SrvrPowerCtrl hibernation request with some other system activity that LightsOut respects such that hibernation is delayed. Monitor that the "not idle" events stop. Then start playing something on your SB. Monitor that the "not idle" events start again.
