This is wrong. From the SB2 onward WMA is supported natively in the player and does not need any WMA supportin perl or wmacodecs. If you have disable "native" WMA or you are using a SliMP3, SB1 or SOftsqueeze then you need an app such as mplayer or ffmpeg to transcode.
