I bow to your superior knowledge of course, but my experience was simply that it didn't work before I installed perl-Audio-WMA and it did (quite suddenly) afterwards...so I assumed, perhaps wrongly, that this was the cause...
However, just after posting that last one I went to the iPlayer menu (on the web interface) and selected 'Listen Live' -> 'Radio 4' and it didn't work again. The only difference was that I had uninstalled the beta AlienBBC (from http://alienbbc.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/testrepo.xml), thinking that I didn't need it anymore and that appeared to stop BBC streaming from working again. (both live and listen again) I have now uninstalled and reinstalled both the iPlayer and the beta version of AlienBBC plugins, restarted the SBS, and both live and listen again are currently working... I am listening to R4 live, it says "48kbps CBR, Internet Radio" on the screen. As its not currently broke I'm loathed to try and fix it, but it seems that something's not quite right... The AAC stream, mentioned in another thread, here: http://www.somafm.com/illstreet48.pls Streams on my Xine player on the Suse box, but not if I add it to 'Tune In URL' in SBS, if it helps? Am I making life harder than it should be by trying to get this working before I buy a squeezebox radio? It seems that I should be able to help myself using the new 'App Gallery' thing, but until I have a proper player, it doesn't appear to do anything. > "Since June, all the national BBC streams are available in WMA . Anyway, for now at least, it appears to be working...but any ideas that you may have or things that I can check for would be appreciated, including pointers to threads / wiki pages / blogs I may have missed in my searches.
