Thanks! It worked, sort of.
I did this: > Library consisting of > MP3 files with ID3v2.3 tags; TYER for release (album) year and TORY for > recording/original release (track) year > and > flac files with Vorbis Comments; DATE for release (album) year and > ORIGYEAR for recording/original release (track) year. > > Problem: SBS now lets the TORY tag take precedence over the TYER tag in > MP3 and ORIGYEAR tags are not scanned at all in flac files. > > In CustomScan module Custom Tag: > Tags to scan: ORIGYEAR,YEAR (I have no YEAR tags but this is where SBS > stores its year data) > Tag mapping: TRACKYEAR=oneof ORIGYEAR|YEAR (this means as per Erland's > explanation that the tag TRACKYEAR will be populated by ORIGYEAR data if > it exists, else with YEAR data) > Use raw MP3 tags: Unchecked > > In CustomScan module Mixed Tag: > Year tags: YEAR (Should I have used TRACKYEAR here instead?) > Include custom tags: Checked > > I did a manual scan with Custom Tag and then with Mixed Tag (It took a > while...). > > In CustomBrowse I made a new Custom Tag Albums menu using the tag > TRACKYEAR. The scan seems to have worked. In the Custom Tag Albums menu I now have a list of all years in both TORY and ORIGYEAR tags. If I select a year I can see a list of all the albums containing a track from that year. If a select a MP3 album (with TORY tags) I can see only the songs from that year just as I want to. BUT if I select a flac album (with ORIGYEAR tags) all songs from that album are shown even though only one song is from that year. Is there anything I can do to get the flac albums to act as the MP3 albums (which was the whole point of this exercise)? -- vagskal 2 x SB3 (wired), Receiver (wireless), Boom (wireless), Controller, iPeng on iPod Touch, muso on remote computer running Win XP | 7.4.2 on Win XP ------------------------------------------------------------------------ vagskal's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=20778 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=49483 _______________________________________________ plugins mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/plugins
