OK, I understand. Thank you for all your help!
The code is from a working menu (the Trackyear menu). I just added the
OR statements.
And thank you for the hint regarding parenthesis. After a couple of
tries I found out that those should be inserted like this:
where
(X and Y)
or
(Z and P)
After that the menu actually worked, sort of. No error messages, but it
took almost 10 minutes, during which the playback was stopped, to get
the initial menu with the year values. But then the subsequent menues
(the album list for a year and the song list for an album) were as fast
as can be expected and the values seem to be correct, i.e. a mix of the
trackyear and albumyear values.
I attach the code for the menu hoping that someone else might be able
to help me to "optimize" the code to get it to work faster.
