WRT a new machine you might get more advice on the general forums since it's not really a plugin specific topic. But here's my 2p anyway:
I bought a Mac Mini because I couldn't build an equivalent windows box for the price Apple were selling the mini at. I could build small and quiet, small and powerful (but noisy) or quiet and powerful (but relatively big). That was a few years ago when the only options for small/quiet systems were the VIA embedded boards. These days you have the dual core Intel Atom based systems which (my gut feel says) should have the horsepower to run Inguz.
