Thanks for the quick response, well the XML bit wasn't that difficult to
get to grips with as I'm a developer for my day job, just not normally
with IR codes so this is a little more exciting!

I tried the count tip but still no joy.. the hold of Home Menu works
fine but the hold of Pause to power off doesn't so it must be the codes
of the volume up/down/power off that are no good.

The remote model for this receiver is a Sony RM-LJ302, any advice you
can think of further is most appreciated, this is an exciting addition
to my squeeze experience :)
