OK - let's forget about plug in directories. I think that was all a red
herring, i.e. not the cause/solution to my problem.

I have removed Squeezebox Server from my system with the standard
Control Panel facility, then reinstalled Squeezebox Server Version:
7.5.0 - r30464.

I then tried to reapply Custom Browse with the extension downloader. I
get to the point where it appears in the section headed "Updated
plugins available" with an empty check box. I keep checking the box and
hitting Apply and restarting Squeezebox Server, but it never installs
it, I just go round in circles.
After trying several times I added the IPlayer extension again and that
went in no problem, still leaving Custom Browse in the "Updated plugins
available" with an empty check box.

Perhaps I need to do it manually? To do this do I just unzip the
download folder and put the files into the Plugins directory?

Thanks in advance for any help
