You could try to enable "debug" logging on "plugin.extensions" in SBS
Settings/Advanced/Logging and make sure the "Save logging settings for
use at next application restart" checkbox is checked. This should
create some debug info in the server.log file when you try to install a
plugin.

You can always download the zip file and unzip it in the Plugins
directory manually, but it's preferred to do it through the Plugins tab
since this will notify you for upgrades and make sure you avoid some
issues (for example Microsoft's inability to implement a tool that
correctly unzip zip files created on another operating systems than
their own)
